Work Hard & Be Patient

So there I was- reading a book- sitting high in a tree- at 10 o'clock at night. I could have scraped the mosquitoes off my headnet by the handful. I had to wear medical rubber gloves to keep them off my hands. Though reading, I was also concentrating on the sounds surrounding me- listening for a twig to snap or even the breathing of a large animal. Other than a couple of squirrels chasing each other and the constant hum of mosquitoes there had been nothing.

I'd already been 3 hours in my stand and it wouldn't be dark until midnight. Welcome to spring bear hunting. Did I mention that I hate 'still' hunting? Many of the things we desire in life require patience and hard work. Laura and I rented for 6 1/2 years while saving money to buy logs to build my house. Patience and hard work.

During those years, we both were driving beat up cars that had been totaled. They weren't pretty, but they were cheap. If you really want something, then you need to stop dreaming and start working. Work hard, be patient, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
