Remain Strong
Occasionally when I am out in the mountains I will 'sense' danger. Often my adrenaline surges and every part of me is on high alert. When you and I are walking with the Lord the way we ought to be, we experience that same sense of danger when Satan tempts us to sin. 1 Corinthians 10:13 says, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man.
And God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." Temptation is universal. It's not just you, it's your pastors and spiritual leaders as well. But God will ALWAYS provide a way out!
How? First, remove yourself from the temptation. Get up and move. Second, immediately set about serving someone. Go into the kitchen and start making a meal or a batch of cookies for a friend. Get in your car, drive down to the church and ask what you can do to help. Go visit a neighbor or friend experiencing a medical or family crisis. God will bring someone to mind who has a need. Friend, you can remain strong! Flee temptation, serve others, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
