Give Thanks In All Circumstances
God said, "Don't be afraid. I will rescue you." Sometimes we need a rescue, don't we? Yesterday mine included a dead machine in the middle of the wilderness, a call for help from a good friend who 'just happened' to be near, an ATV, a chainsaw, two tow ropes, a truck, and a 6 mile tow out. If my friend hadn't been there (100 miles from his home) my machine would still be out there.
If I hadn't hauled in a spare ATV a week ago, my machine would still be dead out there. If I didn't have a chainsaw, my machine would still be out there. Instead, it's at the shop getting repaired. God says that we are to "give thanks in all circumstances." IN all circumstances, not FOR all circumstances. Sometimes life just goes sideways, doesn't it?
If you pause and reflect, you will discover that you also have reasons to give thanks. Thank God for loving you and blessing you. Thank him for holding you in the palm of his hand. Thank him for his promise to "never leave you or forsake you." Give thanks IN all circumstances, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
