Rejoice & Give Thanks

These long daylight hours are something I've hungered for. Don't get me wrong, there's something special about wearing a headlamp in the early morning darkness while climbing a mountain, but the ability to SEE adds layers of enjoyment to being outside. Psalm 34:8 says, "Taste and SEE that the Lord is good. Blessed is the one who takes refuge in him."

Our senses are incredible gifts. As I stood in the forest a few days ago, a gentle breeze brought such a sweet aroma of wildflowers that I had to stop in my tracks and give thanks to God. I continuously pause and give praise when I see a new landscape. I rejoice at the singing of the birds.

Our senses have been given that we might know God more- and then walk more closely with him. Step outside and pause for a moment. Allow your senses to experience all that God is revealing to you. Rejoice and give thanks, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
