Who is to Come
Revelation 4:8 tells us that heavenly creatures surrounding God's throne never stop singing, "Holy, holy, holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!" God always WAS. Jesus prayed in John 17:5, "And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began."
But he is not simply a God of the past, He is a God of the present- God always IS. Before ascending to heaven, Jesus told us, "And lo, I am with you always- to the very end of the age." He is also a God of the future- our FOREVER future- the God who IS TO COME.
Before returning to heaven Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you, and if I go I will come back to take you to be with me where I am." He has always been with you. He is with you every moment of every day. And for those who belong to him- he will be with you for eternity. REST IN THIS! BE blessed! -Pastor Brad
