Be Filled
"Come, Holy Spirit." Sin has a 'gravity' all its own- a power that 'draws' every single person on earth. Only the power of the Holy Spirit can set us free from the gravity of sin. But in order to be set free, we must be FILLED with the Holy Spirit. How does that happen? GREAT DESIRE is the starting point. You must seek him, hungering for his filling through prayer. But this 'hunger' and 'asking' simply isn't enough.
To be FILLED and to continue in FULLNESS, you and I must be CLEAN. All known sin must be confessed and forgiven, and every wrong must be made right. Next, we must be EMPTY. In other words, we must surrender every single part of our lives to the Lord. This includes putting away every bad habit, but much more. It includes putting away every DOUBTFUL habit.
And then? We must OBEY the Spirit PROMPTLY. Obedience plus delay is disobedience. Finally, to live in the fullness of the Holy Spirit's power, we must CONFESS OUR FAITH publicly. Do you want victory over those sins that have plagued you for so long? Be FILLED, and you will be BLESSED! -Pastor Brad
