Decades Of Worship
I thought that my interview with superintendent Rich Hughes went well, but I didn't have any indication about whether or not I'd be offered a job. The bus only came through once a day, so I borrowed a ride to Lewistown, Montana, to find a place to spend the night. The next day I was back on the bus for a 2 day trip home to Minnesota. To say that I was disappointed would be an understatement.
I had hoped that I would be offered a job before I left. Answers don't always come when we want them, do they? A woman named Anna, widowed as a young bride, spent her life praying that she would see the coming Messiah. God answered that prayer when she was 84 years old. But here's the critical point- it wasn't decades of disappointment for Anna, it was decades of WORSHIP! She was praising God as she was waiting!
Gods, answer to your prayer may be "Yes," it may be "No," and it may be "Not yet." As Christians we need to remember this- God's answer will ALWAYS be "Yes" if our prayer ends as Jesus's did- "Yet not MY will, Father, but YOURS be done." Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
