Be Creative

The town of Moore, Montana, is situated at over 4,000 feet on a high plain that was once covered with massive herds of buffalo. The gravel road next to the school leads through giant wheat and barley fields and straight into the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. I decided to do a little exploring, but hadn't gone a quarter mile in my car when a large grain truck was coming straight at me down the center of the narrow road. As it drew closer and closer I could see the half circle of the steering wheel above the dashboard, but no driver.

Closer and closer it came, but still no driver! I eased off the shoulder to allow it room, and as it passed a very young boy (the driver) waved at me out the window of the truck. I later learned that this 10 year old boy was delivering a load of grain to the elevator by himself. One of the great harms that Satan has done this nation is government interference when it comes to children working. For a boy to work (and I mean REAL work, not cleaning his room) is a GREAT thing. It's one of the things that helps establish a boy in his identity

as a man. How important is work? God says, "If a man does not work, he shall not eat." In fact, in a perfect world before sin, God gave Adam WORK. Work gives us purpose and a sense of fulfillment and value. Be creative. Give your kids real work, real responsibilities- and both you and they will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
