Pray
Crescendo is an interesting term. As the 'life' of something is being played out, it becomes more powerful, more energetic, more intense, more consuming... Fifteen years ago, the Lord laid it heavily upon my heart that we would one day plant a church in Anchorage- Alaska's largest and 'least churched' city. But I knew all along that this would not be a typical church plant. This would be a church with OUR DNA, with OUR culture, with OUR compassion and commitment to loving each other and sharing life, and with OUR commitment to faithfully proclaiming the Word of God.
This would not be a different church, this would be US in a different place. Last Spring God introduced us to a small group of committed believers who embraced this vision and made it their own. And since then? What may have started as a gentle whisper has turned into a CRESCENDO of work and purpose and activity. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation for them that believe. He who began a good work in you will be faithful to carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Jesus said, "I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail." PRAY that Anchorage will be spiritually shaken. PRAY that we will see days like Pentecost where 3,000 were saved after a single message. PRAY that God will bring not only the lost, but also workers into this harvest field. Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
