For The Glory Of God
The night before last, it rained like it doesn't rain in Alaska- literally 'buckets' of water falling from the sky. I thought, "We should have laid out the plan yesterday and painted parking lines at the new church." But two days ago the cars of our volunteers were in the way- the parking lot was full. Early yesterday morning the rain stopped and the parking lot dried off.
True, it was a small thing, but when the little details of life go smoothly, everything seems a little brighter, doesn't it? You see, the parking lot was lined for the glory of God in the same way that a faithful servant was mopping an unbelievably dirty floor for the glory of God and a man was working on our sign for the glory of God while others were raking leaves and brush for the glory of God.
But isn't this the way that ALL of life should be? We should cook a family meal or do the laundry for the glory of God in the same way that we go to work or school for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 says, "Whether you are eating or drinking, or whatever you are doing, do EVERYTHING for the glory of God." Pray with me: "Lord, help ME to do everything today for your glory. Amen." Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
