Join Jesus In His Work
Jesus called out to some commercial fisherman, "Come! Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men!" At once they left their boats and nets and followed him. There is an important spiritual principle here. The very first time that these men encountered Jesus, they obeyed IMMEDIATELY. Isn't that interesting? They didn't say, "Talk to us when we're done with work." They didn't say, "We'll think about it and get back with you." They didn't say, "No thanks. Find somebody else." Jesus said, "Follow me!" and grown men in the middle of their work, left their jobs and followed.
There was something compelling about that invitation to follow Jesus- something so captivating that they broke from their old way of life and never looked back. Now, 2000 years later, we are proclaiming that same invitation to follow Jesus. On behalf of Christ, we offer freedom, love, fulfillment, peace, and joy. Through Christ we offer forgiveness and new life- eternal life. We have become 'fishers of men.' Join Jesus in his work, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
