Call A Friend
I was standing almost hip deep in the grey, muddy water- in the deepest part of the bog. My 1,200 pound ATV was laying on its side, half under water with the handlebars submerged somewhere around my knee level. My body was the only thing keeping it from rolling completely upside down. With 2 or 3 other guys to help, it would simply have been an ugly moment to laugh about, but by myself, it was a serious situation.
God did not design us to walk through life alone. This is why Jesus sent disciples out to share the gospel in pairs- 2 by 2. It's why he had 3 disciples who were part of his inner circle- men he shared things with that he didn't share with anyone else. It's why he had a dozen men that he shared life with for 3 years- traveling, eating meals, sharing both laughter and hardship- TOGETHER. Life is BETTER TOGETHER.
We were created to be in community. True, there are a few burdens we must carry alone, but even then close friends can walk beside us to give us strength and courage to make it through another day. So today? CALL a friend, BE a friend, MAKE a friend- and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
