Thank God
Rain turned me back again. Unless other people are counting on me, I seldom head out into the mountains when it's raining anymore. Don't misunderstond me- if I had a cabin or was coming back to my house, I would hunt all day in the rain. That doesn't bother me a bit. But to get drenching wet 'on my way' to hunt and then crawl into a tiny tent dripping wet (a small tent that got soaking wet when I was setting it up)- that no longer appeals to me.
I've never liked it, but when I was younger I was more willing to suffer. I've relaxed since then. Now I like to enjoy the few days I get in the wilderness. God made this wonderful world for our good. He created it specifically to give mankind pleasure and purpose and provision.
When you step outside today, pause to breathe in the scents that are mingling in the air. Allow the warm sun, gentle breeze or pouring rain an extra moment on your cheeks. Thank God for the beauty that surrounds you, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
