The Beginning Of Wisdom
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. This is why there are 5 year-olds with greater wisdom than their grandparents. The ability to earn money is not wisdom. The ability to generate 'likes' and 'followers' is not wisdom. No person without Christ has ANY wisdom- none- zip- nada. Intelligence- yes. Great personalities- yes. Love for family- yes. Work ethic- yes.
And yet, a rejection of Christ is based on ignorance, arrogance or pride. There can be no other reason. Even the global calendar sets its beginning with the birth of Christ. All time is measured from that point. At his word, the blind could see, the lame could walk and the dead were raised. And there were not 'a few' or dozens or hundreds of eyewitnesses, there were many thousands who saw the miracles.
There may have been thousands who saw the resurrected Christ- He appeared to over 500 at one time and spent 40 days on earth before returning to heaven. THIS is why Christianity has survived, and this is why the true church continues to grow everywhere on earth. Coming to Jesus is not only the right thing to do, it is the only thing that is reasonable- that makes sense. What does it require? The faith of a child- the beginning of wisdom.
