Unshakable
Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." Do you have a contentious spirit? Are you easily offended? Do you feel the need to argue and win? If any of those are true, you are missing out on a clearly stated blessing of God. Peacemakers do not insist on having their own way. Peacemakers are eager to compromise and are willing to surrender their rights. Peacemakers return kindness for insult and generosity for selfishness.
The essential attitude of a peacemaker is, "I love you too much to fight about unimportant things." But the same Lord who said "Blessed are the peacemakers" also called religious hypocrites a 'nest of poisonous snakes', 'whitewashed tombs' and 'sons of hell.' Peace- yes, but not at the cost of TRUTH.
Not at the cost of your firm stand for Christ. When it comes to trivial matters, learn to laugh about those things rather than get angry. Don't insist on being treated fairly. But when it comes to truth- STAND. Be gentle and humble, be soft-spoken, and yet- unshakable! Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
