A Successful Life
What, ultimately, is needed to live a successful life? The most common answer is, "Money," but in truth, it's the power and freedom that money brings into a life that people desire. And yet the rich and powerful among us are amongst the least happy and most dysfunctional portion of our society.
Money and power bring pride and the illusion of 'independence.' This is the very opposite of what is needed for a successful life. The key to success is humility. It is a willingness- no, an eager desire- to come under God's authority. Then, as a humble child of God, we can ask for HIS POWER- the power of the Holy Spirit- to help us live joyful, victorious lives whether rich or poor.
Yes, power IS the key to successful living, but it is HIS power, not our own. Examine your life. Surrender your pride and independence. Confess to God that you are wholly dependent upon Him and ask His assistance to live rightly today. THIS is the key to a successful life. Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
