Offer Your Help
Cold last night. Condensation is frozen like raindrops on my tent. The horizon in one direction shows signs of blue sky while the other direction looks ominous with black clouds. The trail coming in brought back memories. It seems like only yesterday (but it was more than a decade ago) that I struggled out with 5 fractured vertebrae, a crushed foot and broken ribs. I was all alone, 44 miles into the mountains, beyond the end of the trail, no cell coverage, and by myself.
There is a very practical reason why God tells us that "two are BETTER than one." This time I'm with a friend. If it's true that 'misery loves company,' it's also true that 'miserable tasks love helpers.' So? Look around! Don't wait for a miserable task to come to you, find a person who is facing something hard and offer your help. INSIST on it, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
