Be Strong In The Lord

"Those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength." It is not an unlimited supply of strength that we receive, but rather strength for the day- strength for the morning- strength for the moment. The result of God's strength is made clear: "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength." Here's the promise: every single thing that God desires for you to do, He will give you the strength to do.

But remember this- some things He doesn't want you to do alone and some things He doesn't want you to do at all. There is no end to the good that any person might do, but there are only so many hours in the day. You must PRIORITIZE THE GOOD. In other words, if you are married, you must invest in serving your spouse. If you have children, you must invest in serving them. If you have a career, you must faithfully serve your employer. Every believer must faithfully serve his or her church.

The other opportunities to serve (and there are many) typically come 'as you are going.' God brings you to them or he brings them to you. This list sounds exhausting. Maybe a little overwhelming. Trust me, it's not only possible to live this way, it's THIS life that brings JOY and PEACE and FULFILLMENT. "Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power," and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
