Fix Our Eyes On Jesus
We had a good idea of where to find our tent. But by the time we stumbled across it in the dark, it was 1:20 AM. This had been a very long day. We were soaked with rain on the outside and drenched with sweat underneath. My feet were raw, and as I crouched to get into my tent I wasn't sure if my shoulders, hips or legs hurt worse.
But on the inside I was smiling. We had two rams. This had been a great day. True, this was a small and unimportant thing, but still worth the cost. After an injury, the work that brings healing often involves suffering. Labor as a woman brings a child into the world involves suffering. Why would anyone voluntarily choose to suffer?
Because of the payoff that we know is coming. This is the story God has written for all of us- HIS story. Hebrews 12:2 says, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of God." Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
