Finish Well

We'd spent long, hard days with little sleep. Our feet and bodies were battered and sore. The hunt was over, but we still had a lot of work to do. Gear had to be cleaned and dried, the tents needed to be pitched so they could dry out before storing, and bloody backpacks needed to be disassembled and washed. Our sheep meat needed to be cut up, wrapped and put in the freezer. Rifles needed to be cleaned and gear needed to be sorted and repacked. The ATV's needed to be sprayed down and refueled, and anyone standing close to us would have said that we were desperately in need of a shower.

Never underestimate the value of FINISHING WELL. Great starts- even great performance and great results- are often diminished by a careless finish. This is so true in our spiritual lives. Friends, all that you have done for the Lord- every prayer, every gift, every act of kindness, every person you invited to church or shared Jesus with- these all matter for eternity.

But are you FINISHING well? Are you continuing to RUN YOUR RACE? Jesus said, "You will be my witnesses." I don't think he meant "until your life gets busy" or, "until you're retire." LIVE your faith- FINISH WELL- and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
