Trust Him
Even though I had a cast on my leg, I had a 12 gauge and a 30.06 in my truck, with my bird dog 'Tucker' sitting on the front seat beside me. It was winter, the temperature was below zero, and there was at least 3 feet of a soft snow on the ground. I was driving the road looking for ptarmigan, grouse, fox or wolves north of Paxson, Alaska. I parked my truck at the base of a high ridge, looked up, and saw a flock of ptarmigan. I hopped out of my truck on one foot, grabbed my rifle, and managed to pick off about half a dozen birds.
They were far enough away that they weren't even flying when I shot. My dog was extremely well-trained. He knew that if I pointed my arm and said, "Fetch!" that there was a bird to retrieve. He leapt into the soft snow, disappearing up to his neck, and began what I can only describe as 'swimming' through that deep powder up the steep ridge. Again and again I sent him up until he had retrieved every one of those birds.
Think of this, from the bottom of the ridge he couldn't see them, he couldn't smell them, he couldn't hear them- but HE TRUSTED HIS MASTER. So often in life we cannot see our way through a difficult circumstance. We don't know how something could possibly work out. We have no idea how to move forward.
As a follower of Christ, God confronts us with only one question: Do you TRUST YOUR MASTER? Your life is secure. He holds you in the palm of his hand. Your victory has already been won. He will either remove your difficulty, show you a way around it, or give you the strength to walk through it. TRUST HIM, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
