Live This Way
The complexity and beauty of the created world never ceases to amaze me. The Great Smoky Mountains were bursting with fall colors as we drove narrow, winding roads to Gatlinburg. We had the added pleasure of seeing a black bear and two wild turkeys on the drive. The 6 kids (ages 3-9) were mesmerized at a beautiful aquarium for more than 2 hours. Even at my age I saw a number of creatures I could never have imagined existed.
We followed that with dinner for 14 at a Mexican restaurant and then Domino's and backgammon amidst the continuous roar and laughter of young children. We talked about what we've been studying in Scripture, what God's been saying to us, and what we see him doing in the world today. It is an 'extra' beautiful thing when YOUR family is a part of GOD'S family- truly a taste of heaven on Earth.
Four said their 'Goodbyes' and went home last night, one got on a plane early this morning, six more will be on the road in an hour, leaving Laura and I with her dad for one more blessed day. Treasure the moments- each interaction- each opportunity to love and encourage and sacrifice and give. And remember, you are ROYALTY- sons and daughters of the King! Live this way, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
