Be Patient
I didn't have a deadline. There was no pressing matter involved. I was a little impatient, but it wasn't directed toward anyone or causing me to have a bad attitude. But it impacted my judgement. It caused me to move forward when wisdom would have waited. And it cost me. Not in a life-changing way, but certainly in a way that I could feel the pain. Have you ever moved forward when you knew that you should have waited?
In spite of the tremendous demands people placed on him, Jesus often 'waited'- sometimes for days. He had places to go and things to do, yet he was never in a hurry. When I tell you to slow down, I don't mean "do less." In fact, by slowing your hectic pace- by learning to be patient- you may accomplish a great deal MORE that actually matters. More often than not 'hurry' is your enemy, not your friend. Be wise, be patient, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
