Your Heart Toward Him

It was a sunny morning in the middle of August- the kind of morning sheep hunters remember. Of course, hunting is when you go where the animals live and try to get one. It's more accurate to say that I was 'hunting for a place to hunt.' I hadn't seen any sheep, didn't know if there were any in this stretch of mountains, but it was too beautiful a morning not to climb. Besides, I only had two days before I had to head back to civilization.

As I slowly made my way, out of sight and just under the ridgeline, again and again I crawled to peak over the top and see if any sheep were below me. After all, hunting is SEEKING. For years I gave more energy to seeking wild game than to seeking the Lord. It's no wonder that I didn't find Him.

Jeremiah 29:13 says, "When you seek me you will find me when you seek me with all your heart." Friends, seeking God is not a one time event, it's a lifetime calling. Every morning, throughout each day, in the middle of rejoicing and trials- always turn your heart toward HIM and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
