Foundation Of Christ
How hot was the fire? It burned everything that would burn. ALL of the glass, ALL of the tires, ALL of the dash, the steering wheel, ALL of the seats and upholstery had 'disappeared'... only metal remained. This is a picture of how God will deal with every Christian at the end of his or her life. Everything we've built- everything we invested in- will be tested by fire.
1 Corinthians 3:12-15 says, "If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is because the day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person's work. If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved- even though only as one escaping through the flames."
Are you a worker in God's harvest field? Are you building God's Kingdom on Earth? Is Christ truly the center of your thoughts and plans? One day it will all be revealed by fire. This is not a warning, but it is a STRONG REMINDER from God to use the gift of this life wisely. What we do NOW matters for ETERNITY.
