Take Another Step Of Faith
2 Timothy 1:7 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." Christian, this is YOUR spirit, the spirit God GAVE YOU. Instead of fear, POWER. Instead of fear, LOVE. Instead of fear, the ability to SEE and UNDERSTAND things as they really are. If you have already died to SELF, if you've already truly surrendered your life to pleasing God and doing his will, then you will experience his power working through you in a way you've never before realized. And make no mistake, this power is given to help you share Christ with a lost world.
Let me be blunt for a moment.It's very true that you may be a Christian, but don't tell me you've fully surrendered your life to the Lord if you aren't tithing and giving generously beyond your tithe. Don't tell me you've fully surrendered your life to the Lord if you aren't serving somewhere in ministry. Don't tell me you've fully surrendered your life to the Lord if you aren't actively sharing your faith. Ouch. I know.
But let God use these spiritual 'barbs' to motivate you to go deeper- to surrender more fully- to take another step of faith. After all, he has not given you a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND! Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
