Friend Connection

Leaving our meat packed beneath snow and ice, we filled our water bottles, shouldered our packs, and they led me up onto small bench where they had camped. By now it was late afternoon. Larry said, "I'm going to walk 7 miles to the head of this drainage to snoop around. Don't worry about me, I'll spend the night up there." Larry had a sleeping bag, but no tent or sleeping pad. He had no cook stove and no food except a small bag of hard candy.

After he left Tim and I removed the cape and horns from our sheep. We shot a short video and cooked our dinner. Then we sat talking for about an hour before we crawled into our sleeping bags and called it a night. Life is meant to be shared. Success is sweeter, pain is more bearable, and the journey itself far more interesting. Jesus did not walk this Earth alone. He shared life with a small group of men and women who believed in him.

But here's the thing- if you WANT a friend, you have to BE a friend. Invite someone out to coffee. Go have lunch. Invite a family over for dinner. Relationships take time and effort, but they are so worth it. Take the time to make a 'friend connection' this week, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
