Tell Them
I learned early on that hunting sheep on foot involves a lot more 'going home empty' than success. My most common experience is to find nothing to hunt. I can go for several years at a time without even seeing a legal ram. So why go? It's hard to explain. Of course, I would love to fly into sheep country to hunt, but that's never been in my budget. I go because there is something viscerally appealing about the challenge- about the high country- about the anticipation of what 'might' be just over the next ridge. The 'possibility' of success spurs me on.
This same possibility is one of the things that encourages me to witness for Christ. But my reasons go much deeper. I believe with all of my heart that Jesus told the truth- that those who reject him are lost for eternity. The only real question that you or I face is, "Do we LOVE PEOPLE enough to share the GOOD NEWS?
My genuine love for Christ and my genuine love for people- ALL people- compels me to share my faith. And here's the beautiful thing- some people ARE ready to hear. Some people WILL respond to the gospel. The heart cry of some is, "What must I do to be saved?" Tell them, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
