Plan And Work

Beginning 'winter' mountain climbers find out very quickly the difficulty going up. What surprises them most is discovering the unexpected difficulty coming down. It's so easy for us to aim for a certain 'high' only to discover that we ended up in a bad place. In all of my years of sheep hunting, I've never gotten into trouble going UP a mountain, but have been in incredibly dangerous positions three different times coming down. In fact, the reason that I don't hunt certain places is not because I can't climb to the top, but rather because I know I can't come safely down with a load of meat.

Every single step that we take has consequences. In Haggai 2:5 we read, "Now this is what the Lord Almighty says. 'Give careful thought to your ways.'" Decisions matter. If you WANT to be in a better place in life, PLAN and WORK- take the steps that lead to a better life. Don't fall into the trap of climbing to some 'high' or other, only to discover that you've wasted a lot of time and energy and money and are finding it difficult to come back down. Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
