Your Are Free
Up at 4, off to the airport and waiting for a 6 AM flight. Travel to and from Alaska means something different than it means to most of the world. I just spoke to someone who flew RT between two nations in Europe for $39. We have villages in Alaska where the cost from Anchorage is closer to $1,000. It's simply a part of living in the last frontier. And yet- we CAN travel. We CAN buy a ticket and simply GO. Our neighbors across the Bering Sea in Siberia don't have that freedom.
It's easy to complain about hours and expense without ever stopping to give thanks for the FREEDOM to travel. True, it's a little inconvenient from here, but we are FREE nonetheless. The Scripture says, "It is for freedom that Christ has set us free." Freedom from condemnation. Freedom from the power of the devil. But he also desires that we would live in unity with basic human freedoms. Give thanks today that you are FREE, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
