Lean In
Some people grow up expecting others to do everything for them- to solve all of their problems- to meet all of their needs. Sadly, these wrong expectations are often learned in childhood. It's actually GOOD for people to be a part of the solutions that they need. Years ago my young granddaughter Harper wanted me to fill a small swimming pool with water so the kids could 'swim.' I told her that if she dragged the pool out to the front yard then I'd fill it. Tiny as she was, she didn't even flinch. She grabbed that giant pool, leaned in, and started dragging.
The idea that life should be 'free' (college, health care, welfare etc.) is a twisted plot of the devil to destroy lives. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that inner city and rural village welfare 'plantations' have kept people enslaved to government handouts- literally decimating cultures. People don't need a handOUT- they need a handUP.
The Word of God tells us that "If a man does not work, he shall not eat." Why did God set this principle for life? Because he LOVES us, and knows that working to provide is a BLESSING, not a curse. LEAN IN- be a part of the solutions that you need, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
