Where The Most High Dwells
Normally my friend Ed and I have floated Eagle River in our pack rafts several times by this time of year. This year the combination of nasty weather and our own busy schedules have kept us off the river. I have been missing it. There is an old hymn that says, "I have peace like a river in my soul." There is a certain peace- a certain calming of the soul- that I experience when I am on a quiet, meandering stream or river. Everything about it is soothing. It's a natural stress reliever.
Psalm 46:4 says, "There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells." Instead of just driving past them all week, pull over- take a little time to walk along a river or stream this week- and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
