Do Hard Things For Christ

When we look at those people who started with very little and built a successful life, it is easy to be envious. We never see the sacrifice It took to get there. It's like the photos that we take on top of a mountain. People who have never climbed get images of 'The Sound of Music' and frolicking in the Alps. The photo doesn't reflect the physical punishment of climbing. Everyone wants to be on top of a mountain, not so many are interested in climbing. Why? Because it isn't COMFORTABLE. I'm no different than you- I love my comfort. But only those who are willing to sacrifice- only those who are willing to get out of their comfort zone- accomplish great things in life.

Jesus told us that in the same way that he was hated and persecuted for speaking the truth about God, we also would be hated and persecuted for speaking that truth. In fact, he said that he was sending us out like sheep among wolves. You see, a lost and dying world doesn't live inside my circle of comfort.

We live under Christ's authority every bit as much as soldiers are under their commanding officer. Jesus said, "All authority... has been given to me... Therefore GO!" Life is short. The time is NOW. Do hard things for Christ- for the love of others- and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
