Follow Those Who Follow Christ

Be careful who you follow. He said it would be easy. He said it would be no problem. I discovered that his definition of 'easy' and 'no problem' was very different from my own. There was a group of us with four wheelers and side by sides. Virtually everyone was stuck in the first muck hole. Thanks to our winches and extra hands, we only spent about an hour to go 100 feet. Then, we started up a vertical rock and boulder laden hill. How bad was it? Two professional dirt bikers couldn't make it. One 4 wheeler tumbled again and again and again before finally stopping upside-down. One 4 wheeler tumbled to the bottom of a gorge, and we never recovered it. I didn't even attempt it. I sat with the dirt bikers and shared the gospel. Be careful who you follow.

This is even more important in spiritual matters. There are not only false religions (like Mormonism and Jehovah's Witnesses), there are FALSE TEACHERS inside Christ's church. They  themselves are led by deceiving spirits and teach things that are utterly untrue. There are also many WRONG TEACHERS- men who are genuinely saved, but who are in error on important matters. On top of all of this, there are men who are charismatic and able to draw crowds but do not have the SPIRITUAL MATURITY to lead others. Be careful who you follow.

How do you know if you are on the right track? The Bible says that a group of new Christians in the Greek city of Berea "were more noble than their brothers, because they tested everything they heard against the Scriptures to see if it was true." Follow those who follow Christ, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
