While You Wait
Now it was simply a waiting game. The bear had come back on the same trail last night. I was high in a tree 40 yards off the trail. It was 7 PM and I intended to stay until dark (midnight), hoping the bear would use this trail once more. As always, the mosquitoes were so thick that I wore a headnet, two layers of clothing, and rubber surgical gloves. Still-hunting is torture for me, so years ago I discovered that the best way to pass the time was to read a good book. The key is to DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE WHILE I WAIT.
So often in life, people are 'waiting' for life to begin. "As soon as I graduate..." becomes "As soon as I get a good job..." which becomes "As soon as I'm married...", "As soon as I buy a house...", "As soon as we have kids...". Do you see what's happening? As you are 'waiting to begin", life is passing you by. Friends, live your life NOW. Do something productive while you wait, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
