Put Your Faith In Him
Friends of ours flew up from Florida, rented a car, drove far more than 1000 miles, took a bus through Denali National Park, and in all that time never saw a moose. After enjoying dinner at our house, we opened the door to let the dogs out and a bull moose was standing at the foot of our steps. That's Alaska. That's just life, isn't it? It's often said, "There are no guarantees." That is only partly true. There are SOME guarantees in life. Jesus said, "I am THE WAY and THE TRUTH and THE LIFE. No one comes to the Father except through me." He said, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM shall not perish, but have everlasting life."
Friends, that's a guarantee you can stake your life on. Why is Christianity not only surviving- but thriving? Because thousands witnessed his miracles and because hundreds saw the resurrected Christ over a period of forty days after the resurrection." Eyewitnesses by the hundreds, and within two months after Christ ascended to heaven the church had grown to more than three thousand!
They then suffered some of the most violent persecution and martyrdom in the history of humanity and yet refused to deny their faith. Why? Because they KNEW (not 'believed')- KNEW that Jesus was and is the living Son of God. That's a guarantee! Come to Him, put your faith in Him, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
