Get Connected To Your Family
For many people, Alaska is an entire 'world' away from family. And for most of those people 'outside', it seems even farther than that. This makes those times when family come to visit us extra special. This last week, my mother and three of my nieces made a very short visit. We shared meals, games around the table, prayer, and- yes, Alaskan adventures. Family was God's idea. He created the very first family in the Garden of Eden and told Adam and Eve to bear children and fill the earth.
How important is family? God said in 1 Timothy 5:8- "A man who does not provide for his relatives, and especially for those in his own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever." In a very real sense, God has created his church to be an authentic, genuine family. We are not supposed to be 'like' a family- We ARE family! So? Plug into a Bible-teaching church. Get connected to YOUR family, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
