Invest
We had the coldest spring in 50 years and the wettest July on record. This made for an even shorter summer in a place that is known for short summers. My lilac bush bloomed late in the first week of July, and in the first week of August almost all of the blossoms are gone. It simply reminds me that we are surrounded by 'temporary' things. Isaiah 40:8 says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God will stand forever."
Invest your life in what is eternal- the Word of God and the souls of men. When I tell you to 'invest' in the Word of God, what I'm saying is that you should make it a life priority to be in a Bible study with a a small group of fellow Christians. Look at your schedule. Either Sunday morning or any night of the week, FIND A SMALL GROUP or START YOUR OWN, and you will be blessed! Pastor Brad
