The Other Good Thing
The thing about hunting in Alaska is that if you don't find what you're looking for you might find something else. You may be moose hunting in an open area and go home with a caribou or a black or grizzly bear. You didn't get the 'good thing' you were after, but you got a different 'good thing.' This is so often true in the life of a Christian. We are PRAYING for something, LONGING for something, WORKING for something, WAITING for something, and it never comes... Instead God brings us something different, but something GOOD!
Laura and I tried to buy a house in Copper River. We were teaching there and were hoping to raise our children there. Over a period of two years we lost four different houses that we were hoping for. God had a DIFFERENT good thing in mind for us. As you PRAY and WAIT and WORK- look for the OTHER good thing God has for you, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
