Stay Connected
My dad, John Rud, is pretty remarkable. He took his first deer in Minnesota 75 years ago at the age of 11. He took his first deer with an arrow about 60 years ago, and this week added one more to his archery success. Yesterday the family went to my younger brother Jim's, ordered pizzas, and enjoyed the time together as they processed the deer and got it in the freezer. I wish I could have been there. One of the great sacrifices that many Alaskans make is separation from family. While we are still in America, it takes a long time and costs a lot of money for a family to go 'outside.'
Life is all about choices. I am confident that I am in the place that God has for me. I am equally confident that God can use you and me ANYWHERE that we happen to be- whether in our dream destination or just temporarily passing through. Reach out to someone living far away from you today just to remind them that you love them and miss them. Stay connected to the important people in your life, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
