Prepare Well
As non-residents, my dad, John Rud, and his hunting partner, Roger Stevens, could only get 'over the counter' doe tags. They had driven over 800 miles to hunt pheasant and grouse, but decided to go after deer as well. When they walked down to the creek behind my house, they were carrying fishing rods in one hand, shotguns in the other, and had their rifles on a sling. They were fishing Brook Trout, but were prepared for ducks and deer.
It's certainly true that people are successful at times without preparation, but it's equally true that preparing well dramatically increases your chances of success. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Do your best to present yourself to God as an approved worker who does not need to be ashamed, and who correctly handles the word of truth."
How can you correctly handle the Word of Truth? How can you be an approved worker? PREPARATION is the key. Whatever adventure, task or challenge is in front of you- PREPARE WELL, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
