Choose
My climbing partner, Ed (and his wife Christine) maintain an excellent level of fitness in spite of Alaska's extreme challenges. How? They ski, hike, climb, run and bike all winter. While the right clothing and equipment is essential, those things are secondary. The most critical element is MOTIVATION. So many of the things that are good for us carry with them a degree of suffering- of hard work and unpleasantness.
The payoff is twofold. They experience many incredible things that belong only to those who venture into the wilderness; and, their commitment to fitness improves their overall quality of life. How about you? Are you willing to do hard things? Are you willing to make a sacrifice today in order to reap a benefit tomorrow? Friends, your life is built one decision at a time. CHOOSE to be joyful. CHOOSE to be thankful. CHOOSE to work hard, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
