Be The Light

There is something special about climbing in the dark and making it to the top of a mountain for sunrise. Somehow the experience of darkness makes the light not only more welcome, but more 'alive'- more invigorating. It's as though God gives us a daily reminder that we were once living in darkness, but now can see. Isaiah 9:2 says, "On those living in the land of deep darkness, a light has dawned." Jesus said, "I am the light of the world," but he also said to his followers, "YOU are the light of the world."

Once we've experienced the light of Christ in a life-changing way, once we've been born again and are new in Christ- it is the most natural thing in the world to reflect HIS light. Every person who meets a Christian should experience a little glimpse of Christ. If their hearts are tender and open, they will see for the first time the darkness they've been living in. Young children sing, "This is my little gospel light. I'm going to let it shine!" SEE the light, BE the light, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
