Refuse To Quit

When I arrived at Airborne School, the first people I noticed were a soldier with one arm in a cast who was painting a building with his other hand, and a soldier with one leg in a cast who was hobbling along pushing a lawn mower. These men were 'recycles.' To graduate from Airborne School, you must complete five successful jumps in a row. If you are injured before jump five, you have two options: quit or recycle. Those who refused to quit were given jobs at the school while they healed, and once they were healthy again they had to start over from the beginning and do the school again. None of their previous jumps counted.

I had a lot of respect for those guys who refused to quit. Some had several months of healing before they could begin the school again. In many respects, their lives were put on 'hold.' But think of it this way- their dreams- their goals- were delayed but not denied. They learned a critical life lesson- the value of PERSEVERANCE.

Quitting is easy. It always has been. But REFUSING TO QUIT unlocks the vast majority of life's great blessings. Again and again God's Word lifts up the value of perseverance. The Apostle Paul tells us not only to "fight the good fight," but also to "finish the race." Persevere- refuse to quit- and you WILL be blessed! -Pastor Brad
