Share Jesus With Everyone
We woke up to beautiful clear skies. This was 4 days of sunshine and perfect weather in a row. Tim kept saying to me, "This isn't sheep hunting." In a lifetime of Dall sheep hunting, I have never again had such perfect weather. This was good news for Larry, because he had spent the night somewhere in the mountains lying on the ground. We had to repack our meat in new ice because the large chunks that covered it yesterday had already melted.
We decided to carry empty packs up the valley so that we could help Larry pack out a sheep if he had been successful. We hiked 7 miles before we found him. We agreed that Tim and I needed to get our meat out, but Larry wasn't done hunting. He asked Tim to leave his tent there for him and said that he might spend another week or so looking around. At this point, Larry had hiked 32 miles from where he'd been dropped off. That's just plain tough.
Most of us can do a lot more than we THINK we can. The problem is that so many people are afraid of discomfort. Their motto when facing adversity is, "I can't." "It's too hard." And even though we don't say it out loud, this is exactly the reason why so many Christians don't share their faith. They think to themselves, "I can't, it's too hard." The same people who would fight an attacking pitbull to save their own child say that sharing their faith is too hard. Why would you risk your life for your child? Because you LOVE him. You LOVE her.
Why will you NOT share your faith with lost people, including in your own family? Because you DON'T LOVE THEM enough to be uncomfortable. Let this sink in. You CAN DO HARD THINGS if you are motivated by love. This life only lasts for a moment in time. Share Jesus with everyone you meet, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
