On Higher Ground
There is something I love about being the first one to make tracks on a fresh blanket of snow. It isn't the trail I've left behind me, it's the untouched landscape before me. It somehow feels like the world in front of me has endless possibilities. It's true that a thousand different things that could trip me up are buried several feet beneath the snow, but I'm living above all of that. In the high mountains I can walk places with ease that would be a nightmare without the snowshoes or the snow.
In the same way, life has so many things that can 'trip us up.' IN Christ we are able to walk above all those things. No longer bogged down by lust or addiction or selfishness or greed- life somehow becomes lighter- vastly more simple to navigate. Not EASY- life will always contain its share of work- but SIMPLE... UNCOMPLICATED... CLEAR.
The terrain we navigate will certainly have its share of problems, but children of The King are able to live above them. Don't allow life's struggles to tangle up your heart and emotions and mind. Walk with Christ on higher ground, and you will be blessed!-Pastor Brad
