Learn Yearn Earn & Burn
While Jesus commanded, "Therefore go," he also commanded us to 'stop.' The disciples weren't ALWAYS actively sharing their faith. Jesus knew they needed time to LEARN. You see, knowledge takes us from faith to FAITH. In other words, you can be 100%, sold-out, all-in regarding your faith, and yet somehow knowledge ADDS TO and INCREASES our faith.
We need time to learn, but we also need time to YEARN. We need 'alone time' to fast and pray and meditate on God's word- to literally hunger for more of him. Jesus OFTEN withdrew to lonely places to pray. That's a great model for all of us. We need time to learn, time to yearn, and we also need time to EARN. God says that a man who does not care for the needs of his own family is worse than an unbeliever.
God also says that no woman, including widows, is to be given any public assistance unless she is without relatives AND too old to work. Finally, we are to BURN. The Holy Spirit offers every believer a baptism of fire. This plants within us a burning desire to see the lost come to Christ. All of this equips us to "Therefore go." Simply ask, and you will receive. Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
