Rock Solid Knowledge
While Georgia and Alabama and Texas are getting snow, Alaska is getting rain. The first 3 months of our winter have been strange, but we still have several months left. With temperatures around 40°, I'm seeing people in shorts and t-shirts. Undoubtedly, the snow will come.
Strangely, I love this time of year. It's filled with expectation- with anticipation. Each day the sun rises a bit higher in the sky. Long, sunny days are coming. It's kind of like waiting for Christmas. I don't simply 'hope' the daylight hours will get longer, I KNOW they will. This is the kind of HOPE that we have in Christ. It's not wishful thinking. It's not based upon what we 'choose' to tell ourselves. It's not the 'invented beliefs' of the world's religious systems.
Our hope is the rock-solid knowledge that Christ will return for every person who belongs to him. It is the rock-solid knowledge that we will live forever. I look forward to that day with great expectation- with great anticipation. Life can be hard, but God is good and better days are coming! Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
