Listen To The Holy Spirit
As I sit at my kitchen table this morning I can hear the wind roaring outside like a jet engine. Where did it come from? Where is it going? We cannot see the wind, but we FEEL it and see its EFFECTS. Jesus said in John 3:8, "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit."
Every Christian is indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Because He is IN us, WE feel him continuously, and THE WORLD arounds us sees His effects upon our lives. Those who truly walk with Christ (and this is a small percentage of those who call themselves 'Christian') are in constant communication with the Holy Spirit. He teaches us. He reminds us of the Scripture we've read and heard. He counsels us and gives us wisdom. He comforts us in times of struggle. He corrects us and convicts us of sin. All of that is HIS work.
Our task is simply to LISTEN to his voice and to walk in OBEDIENCE. When we do our small part, His life-changing POWER is released IN us and THROUGH us. When you lift up your heart in praise remember to worship the Father, Son AND Holy Spirit! Be blessed!
