Fix Our Eyes On Jesus

The statement- "It's a pretty good trail" means something entirely different in Alaska than in other states.  In Alaska it simply means that if conditions are right you will 'probably' get through.... but you might get stuck many times- your ATV may break down- you will definitely want a winch.  Even so, I am thankful for the small number of trails that we have into the wilderness. From year to year you never know what you will discover ahead of you, that's true. But when you follow a trail you always know the way home.

This is what the Word of God does for us in life. It's a clear guide- the only right path to follow. We never know what we'll run into on the journey, but we are always secure in the fact that this trail leads us home. When do things get 'iffy?' When you set your eyes on something else- pursue something else- and lose sight of the trail.

This most commonly happens when we pursue money rather than pursuing God. 1 Timothy 6:10 says, "Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows." Friends, stay on the path. Fix your eyes on Jesus, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
